However, there is one detail that will surely disappoint many Need for Speed fans. It has been confirmed that there will be no vehicle customization in the game, a feature that many gamers have grown to know and love. But, judging by the new gameplay features that have been added, the lack of customization probably won't hurt overall game sales.

Very little is known about multiplayer at this stage but it has been confirmed that the Autolog feature first seen in the 2010 release of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit has returned with some new changes to enhance the multiplayer experience.

Quick time action events have been added.

Players who pre-order the limited edition version of Need for Speed: The Run will get 3 exclusive vehicles, the Lamborghini Aventador, Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, and the Porsche 911 Carrera S, as well as 5 exclusive racing events, plus bonus rewards and achievements. In addition to the 3 exclusive vehicles, Xbox 360 and PS3 players who pre-order from GameStop will receive the "Most Wanted Challenge Pack" which comes with 3 events inspired by Need for Speed: Most Wanted, plus 2 extra cars, the BMW M3 GTS and Razor's Ford Mustang Boss 302.

If you get it from Amazon, you'll get the "Underground Challenge Pack" which grants access to 3 events inspired by Need for Speed: Underground as well as 2 additional cars, the Nissan 370Z, and the Nissan Skyline GT-R R34.

Need for Speed: The Run is scheduled to be released on November 18th 2011 in Europe, with a demo scheduled to be released on October 18th 2011.
